Through the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) the organisation has prided itself in commemorating 75 years of existence fulfilling the aims and objectives of its founders in offering quality social welfare services to our community to the best of its ability despite many challenges and constraints confronting it.
It is indeed a unique achievement that it is commemorating it’s Diamond Anniversary with rising cost of living, increase in the number of families in need of social welfare support, care for children, abandoned babies and the elderly were
some of the challenges it had to address in keeping with its aims.
Many logistical constraints also emerged within and outside of the organisations operational environment which were dealt with appropriately and decisively by a band of active Volunteers on an honorary basis and dedicated staff.
Given the magnitude of the Organisations operational activities and complex social and psychological issues, and its various programmes it has strived to a level of service which you the community can express confidence, as well as share in its success with pride. We are convinced that all this has been possible with the Grace and Blessings of Almighty Allah (SWT) and also not forgetting the generous support of the community. These achievements are a true reflection of a caring community which the Organisation serves.
Over the years the Organisation had to come to terms with enormous setbacks arising from the demise of long standing stalwarts and associates who occupied
strategic decision making positions. Each time a vacuum occurred, it required extra efforts from the remaining Trustees, Board of Management and Volunteers and through the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) they rose to the challenge so as to ensure that the core business of the organisation was pursued without disruption.
At the onset therefore we need to acknowledge the untiring efforts of these mixture of old and young members that steered the various projects and programmes in the absence of their forbearers. At the same time these losses exhorted our Trustees and Members to review the structure of the Organisation by introducing youth together with the experience to plan the structure of the Organisation for the future.
