In 1959, twenty five
years after the formation of the Children's Home the Organisation
decided to render relief to indigent cases in the community.
From the original value of 850 pounds for hampers
and school books valued At 1,210 pounds, today the organisation
distributes assistance to the needy And towards tertiary education
and school fees to the value of approximately R2.9 million. |

WELFARE PROGRAMMES
Currently the organisation distributes 140 monthly
food Hampers to recipients who have been investigated. The Hampers
are prepared to take care of the monthly needs Of a family. The
hampers are given based on the size of the Family and includes
meat and chicken.
VALUE OF THE HAMPERS:
Group 1 hamper : +/- R 800.00
Group 2 hamper : +/- R 1000.00
Group 3 hamper : +/- R 1100.00
Group 4 hamper : +/- R 1200.00

Assists in paying arrear rentals,
electricity/water Bills, medical assistance financial aid etc. |

Assists with clothing donated by
donors. |

Assists in finding suitable accommodation
and Provides subsidy towards rental payments. |

Assists in employment placement
or self help Projects like green garden etc. Empowering Individuals
with skills programmes to become Self employed. |

Assists with tertiary, school
fees, school uniforms, Books and madressa fees to deserving learners. |
|
Distributes wheelchairs and disability
aids in association with RADIO Al-Ansaar. |

The Iqraa health centre in Partnership
with Islamic Medical Association Provides free circumcision. |

Provides home based Nursing as
well as care Givers at cost. |
|
Homes of poor and needy Are regularly
visited by our Social worker to counsel and Assist. |
|
Free burial services to the needy
In association with the Gorba Trust And other burial service providers. |
|
Cataract clinic where we pay for
Consumables. The procedures are done By members of IMA at no cost
And the facilities are provided By St Aidans Hospital. |
